The sand and surrounding grounds in and around Wailea beach are painstakingly cared for making it one of Maui's most. Surrounding the sand are some of the islands most luxurious resorts including the Grand Wailea, the Four Seasons and many other upscale properties.
The beach provides good opportunities for snorkelers when the water is calm and body boarding when the surf is up.
A beach side path follows Waileas coastline that runs approxiametely 1.5 miles. The walkway connects Wailea to a series of smaller beaches including Polo Beach, Ulua Beach, and Palaue Beach to name a few. Each beach shares similiar characteristics but are also is unique in their respective ways.
All of these beaches provide great views of the island of Kaho’olawe and Molokini which both reside less then two miles offshore. During the winter months humpback whales can commonly be sighted just off shore navigating the surrounding channels.
